About Us
Laulima Garden 'Ohana is an educational farm celebrating Polynesian and Sub-Tropic plants. The nearly four acre land on which we farm primarily honors plants that thrive in this climate--with over 200 fruit trees and over 60 veggies and herbs grown with soil revitalization, biodynamic, Korean and Hawaiian farming practices in mind.
Laulima Garden 'Ohana is part of our larger educational non-profit, Maui 'Ohana Collective, providing resources to children and families, integrating traditional Hawaiian values, sustainable living practices, Waldorf inspired principles and holistic therapeutic services, all seeking to honor individuality in community.
Our Junior Farmers Program, JFAM, offers our young student members the opportunity to care for the farm as well as learn the business of farming under the guidance of specialty educators.
Under the mentorship of Uncle George Kahumoku Jr., we take the relationship with our land to heart and seek to serve as an example that more sustainable living need not be daunting or overwhelming.

Practices
No Pesticides or Synthetic fertilizers.
We are inspired by our Polynesian climate, by Hawaiian, Biodynamic, and Korean farming techniques, and we have joined forces with an intention to empower families to grow food easily by taking notice of the foods of the region.
We serve as an agent of outreach and education, inspiring community to grow food in their yards, and to serve as an example that more sustainable living need not be daunting or overwhelming. Begin with what plants thrive where you live, and a little aloha, and the rest will follow.
