About Us
We believe that food should not only taste good, but also do good. That's why we are committed to using sustainable ingredients and supporting local Hawaiian farmers. We are proud to be a part of Hawaii's rich agricultural heritage and strive to make a positive impact on our community.
Hawaiian Krunch Company was inspired by a Kalo Journey. A Kalo journey that took Chef Bonny and four other chefs from all four corners of the nation to visit and work with local Kalo farmers on the island of 'Oahu and Kaua'i. The purpose of this journey was to encourage these Chefs to create Kalo dishes that would excite the palate and introduce "Kalo to the world" with hopes of helping to create a broader opportunity of export for our local Kalo farmers so that they can continue to grow a sustainable production of one of Hawaii's most important canoe crops.
With that inspiration, Chef Bonny and her partner Tootsie created Hawaiian Krunch Company utilizing four of Hawaii's canoe crops. Kalo (Taro), 'Ulu (Breadfruit), 'Uala (Sweet potato),
and Niu (Coconut). Over 80% of our ingredients used in our Hawaiian Krunch granola's are locally sourced across Hawaii.

Practices
We are committed to using only the freshest and most sustainable ingredients in our granola. Our canoe crops, including Kalo ~ Taro, 'Uala ~ Sweet Potato, and 'Ulu ~ Breadfruit, are sourced from local Hawaiian farmers who share our commitment to sustainability. By supporting these farmers, we are helping to preserve Hawaii's unique agricultural heritage and promote a more sustainable food system.
